2014 Alfa Romeo 4C will debute soon at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show next month.
Unlike the Alfa 8C(limited to 500 vehicles), the 4C is a smaller mass-production model, having a mid-engine rear-wheel-drive layout. It will be powered by a 1.75-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder with close to 250 hp, mated to a “TCT” dual-clutch automatic.
Alfa is keeping the weight down in the 2014 4C with a small footprint (the 4C is about the same size as a Mazda MX-5 Miata), carbon-fiber chassis and aluminum bodywork. Alfa Romeo hasn’t yet released images of the 4C’s interior but says it’ll feature an exposed carbon-fiber central tunnel, paddle shifters, and the latest evolution of its “DNA” drive mode selector with a new Race mode.
